Creating Stock Records in WinForecast

1.   Create a Stock record.
2.   Choose to Enter Data.
3.   Stock Usage represents the Cost of Sales of the Stock item. The options are: Enter Usage (£)Type
in the values required,
As a % of Sales Link to existing Sales Records, Use Sales Units Link to existing
Sales Records containing Unit Sales,
To/From Records A way of transferring data to Stock records and
Use Hotlink
to Excel, Sage accounts etc.
4.   Stock Additions
Enter Additions
Manually type the Stock Additions values that you want.
Use Days on Hand
This allows you to specify a number of days prior to
Usage to buy the stock in.
Use Closing Stock
This option allows you to enter the closing stock value
you would like to hold at the end of each month.
Add Batches (£)
This option allows you to specify that you are buying
stock in batches of a monetary value, for example
buying a container load of something. You must specify
the
Batch Value and the Minimum Stock you would
like to hold.
% of Wages
This is useful when you wish to introduce an element of
wages into the Cost of Sales of the Stock item.
Add Units
As with Enter Additions above, use this option when
you have units used in your Sales data to enter the
number of units you wish to purchase.
Use Stock Units
As with Use Closing Stock above, use this option when
you have units used in your Sales data to enter the
number of units you wish to hold in Stock at the end of
each month.
Add Batches Units
As with Add Batches (£) above, use this option when
you have units used in your Sales data to enter the
number of units you wish hold in Stock as a minimum
and the batch size in units.
Note: Do not use this
option if you have an opening stock value for this
record as it will not calculate correctly due to a 'feature'
in the software.
Use Hot Link
Use this option to hot link you stock additions data to a
spreadsheet, database etc.
5.   Specify your Stock Additions payment terms and choose OK to save the changes.
